Happy 2013! I hope everyone is having a great year thus far.
The year has gotten off to a little bit of a slow start as far as performances are concerned, but it has been an excellent opportunity for practicing, composing, and reflection. Next month things will be kicking into high gear with the start of a monthly residency at Club Groove NYC with The Identity Crisis & several Nowrooz (Persian New Year) performances with songstress Rana Farhan.
I’ve also been recording some new music up in Woodstock, NY at bassist John Menagon’s studio. I’ll be posting some of these tracks very soon, which feature myself, John, drummer Dave Berger, and some other fantastic musicians! I’m definitely looking forward to presenting this music – John gets a beautiful sound at his studio, and we’ve had a blast making this music happen.
